Campbell, a former second-round pick, spent the first four seasons of his professional career with the Indianapolis Colts. He caught his first NFL touchdown in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans. He finished the season with 18 catches for 127 yards and one touchdown through seven games and three starts. Unfortunately, his rookie season was derailed by injuries. He dealt with a sports hernia issue, a broken hand, and a broken foot which ended his season.
The injury bug continued to plague Campbell in the 2020 season when he appeared in two games. He was placed on injured reserve and missed the rest of the season with a PCL and MCL injury. Campbell finished the season with six catches for 71 yards.
Year three was not much of an improvement for Campbell as he only appeared in six games. Campell found himself once again on injured reserve during week seven and was not activated until the final week of the season. In those six games, Campbell totaled 10 catches for 162 yards and one touchdown.
His best year as a pro came during his final year with the Colts. Campbell appeared in all 17 games, starting 16 of them. Campbell established career highs across the board, producing 63 catches for 623 yards and three touchdowns. More importantly for Campbell, he did not miss any games for the first time in his career.
Campbell parlayed a strong fourth year into a one-year contract with the New York Giants worth 4.7 million dollars. He was mainly ineffective in his role and could not develop any chemistry with any of the Giants quarterbacks. He finished with 20 receptions for 104 yards and no touchdowns.
In his five-year career, Campbell has produced 117 receptions for 1,087 yards and 5 receiving touchdowns.
