While plenty of NFL teams make bank by showing and selling their throwback uniforms, the New York Giants turned heads the other way with their “Century Red” uniforms that are set to be shown this year.
The Century Red uniform commemorates the 100-year anniversary of the team and features a lot of red with some blue and white accents mixed in. But while the uniform may pay homage to their history, NFL fans don’t seem to keen on paying for them.
Unfortunately for the fans who can’t stand the uniform, they’re not only seeing it early this season – they’re seeing it immediately.
According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, the Giants will be wearing those throwback uniforms for their Week 1 home game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Judging by the responses to Meirov’s post, Giants fans and average NFL fans aren’t exactly looking forward to seeing the uniforms on their screens:
“How does anyone say “Yeah this looks like a good idea”????” football analyst and former Giants quarterback Danny Kanell wrote.
“Thank God the ugliness of these jerseys will be overshadowed by the pure beauty of Sam Darnold’s arm,” another user wrote.
“The Steelers bumble bee has some serious competition to the ugliest uniforms,” wrote a third.
Suffice it to say, it might not be too shocking if the Giants put these on clearance at the end of the season.
