The New York Giants will take on the Indianapolis Colts at MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon and, in what’s become a humiliating theme, will enter the game extremely shorthanded.
Head coach Brian Daboll informed reporters on Friday afternoon that several players who didn’t practice this week will be out in Week 17, including linebacker Micah McFadden and center John Michael Schmitz.
With Schmitz out, guard Greg Van Roten, who has also battled an injury this week, will start at center.
In addition to Schmitz and McFadden, cornerback Greg Stroman (shin/shoulder), and safety Raheem Layne (knee) are also out on Sunday.
On the positive side of things, wide receiver Malik Nabers and running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. practiced on Friday and Daboll is “hopeful” both will start against the Colts.
