The New York Giants face the Carolina Panthers across the pond in Munich, Germany at Allianz Arena on Sunday. Both the Giants and the Panthers are struggling this season, and although their struggles are different, it should make for a competitive football game.
Allianz Arena, home to Bayern Munich FC, will host an NFL game for the first time in two years as both of the German-hosted games in 2023 were held in Frankfurt. The arena is already sold out as German fans have flocked to the NFL game in recent years.
The fans in attendance might not get to see the likes of Patrick Mahomes or Aaron Rodgers, but they will get to see two competitive teams that each have a lot to fight for right now. Both teams need to win, but the Giants need that win more than the Panthers. The Panthers are rebuilding around Bryce Young, but the Giants are supposed to be past the rebuild with Brian Daboll in his third season as head coach.
The problem is, the Giants haven’t seen much success under Daboll and it doesn’t seem to be getting better. They have a real opportunity to right the ship with a win over the Panthers this week, and there are six things they must do to make that happen.
