- Defense was -18 when on the field. Offense was -4 when on the field.
- Dan Schneier of Big Blue Banter broke down the Offensive film with Nick Falato. He asked aloud if Daniel Jones’ 2nd neck injury has impacted his mechanics. No, he didn’t make apologies, as they ripped Jones for horrible play.
- Carl Banks said that LT, before they walked on for the 100th halftime celebration, told him he could take 22 of these guys and win the game, compared to the ugliness of what the Giants were displaying.
- Not a good look from Thibodeaux, who didn’t answer Raanan’s postgame question about lack of pass rush/impact. Banks ripped Thibodeaux too.
- Bill Belichick is going to be on the Eli + Peyton MNF simulcast in first halves this season, as I understand it. Listening to Belichick discuss what the Offense and Defense is doing with both Mannings was excellent.
- Washington has a terrible Defense and awful Offensive Line. Movable object meet stoppable force.
- RS asks a great question- do teammates resent Jones getting paid while Saquon is gone? Is there lack of support?
- Why was Dexter Lawrence only on the field for 37 of 55 snaps? Minn was quick to call run plays when Dex was off the field. Baldy noted that Dex was the lone bright spot in Week 1. “A lot to clean up.”
- Why did Jalin Hyatt see only 4 snaps through the first 3 quarters (before seeing more time in Q4)?
- Our 4 elements in the Preview were 0 for 3 + waiting on the Secondary after the first half of the season.
- Nubin and Phillips were (relatively) good in their rookie start. Nabers, Nubin and Phillips (as well as Tracy and the rest of the Draft class) will go further to saving Schoen.
- Jones’ film was sooo bad that he is already on a super short leash. Weeks 3-8 the Giants will get undressed if they keep delivering this kind of QB play. Daboll was outcoached and didn’t have his team ready. Yet it’s Jones who is the coach killer.
- Van Roten was the weak link on the OL in Week 1.
