The New York Giants have a desperate need at cornerback and after failing to upgrade the position this offseason, will likely be headed back to the well.
NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports that veteran Adoree’ Jackson is in East Rutherford on Friday morning for a physical as the two sides negotiate a new deal.

The Giants let Jackson walk in free agency but his market never materialized. However, he was committed to playing in 2024, ideally for a Super Bowl-contending team — something he believes the Giants are capable of.
“I want to win a Super Bowl, and I know the Giants are capable of winning because we saw [in the 2022 playoff run] that it was a possibility. It boils down to the pieces and the staff being on the same page and doing the right thing to help us get there,” Jackson told the New York Post in February.
Jackson also acknowledged the business side of football when it came to general manager Joe Schoen’s initial decision not to re-sign him.
“If I come back, it’s all good. If I don’t, is it going to hurt? It will, but I know it’s a business,” Jackson said on Radio Row at the Super Bowl last week.
“At the same time, I know what I can do and the services that I bring to an organization — not just on the field, but being a locker-room presence and different things around the community. I’m hopeful [to be back], but you can never put anything past anybody.”
Jackson is not only familiar to the Giants, but he’s also familiar to defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, who served as outside linebacker coach during Jackson’s time with the Tennessee Titans.
Bowen took over the TC role in Tennessee the same year Jackson signed with the Giants.
More to come…
