The New York Giants added a ton of experience to their wide receiver room this Thursday in the form of Allen Robinson.
The terms of Robinson’s contract are unknown at this time. The belief is it’s a one-year deal.
Robinson is set to join his fourth team in the last four years. He has 562 career receptions for 7,028 yards and 43 touchdowns.
Although Robinson is a big name, it’s worth noting he hasn’t recorded 1,000 receiving yards in a single season since 2020. He was with the Chicago Bears at that time.
Robinson, a former Pro Bowl wideout, had 34 receptions for 280 yards last season on the Pittsburgh Steelers. His days as a No. 1 option are clearly over.
The good news for the G-Men is they don’t need Robinson to turn back the clock. They simply need him to push the young talent on their roster.
On paper, the Giants will lean on wide receivers Malik Nabers, Wan’Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt. They all have the potential to be legitimate playmakers in the Big Apple.
The Giants also have Isaiah Hodgins and Darius Slayton on their depth chart. They’ll also be fighting for targets this summer.
