The New York Jets are officially starting a new era during the 2025 NFL offseason.
Our friends at Draft Wire have predicted that the Jets could start those efforts in the dirty areas of the field.
D/W’s latest 2025 NFL mock draft has New York selecting LSU offensive lineman Will Campbell with their top selection at No. 7 overall. In the breakdown, Campbell is called a “10-year starter at left tackle.”
Supporting that is Draft Network’s analysis on Campbell. His 6-foot-6, 320-pound frame is called “ideal” and Campbell is projected as a Pro Bowl caliber prospect.
There is still plenty of time until the 2025 draft and a lot will unfold before then. The reason a tackle could be possible for the Jets is because of the unknown futures of veterans Morgan Moses and Tyron Smith.
If both leave New York this offseason, Campbell could end up being a blue-chip lineman prospect for the Jets alongside Olu Fashanu.
In 2024, Pro Football Focus graded Campbell a solid 72.2 overall mark for his efforts. His pass protection landed even better at 80.6.
And naturally, following the split with Aaron Rodgers in New York recently, it makes sense to point out that this mock draft has the top-two quarterback prospects off the board before the Jets select.
Those two names are Miami’s Cam Ward (No. 1 overall in mock) and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders (No. 3).
