Are Aaron Glenn and Lance Newmark about to become the new faces of the New York Jets? The potential future head coach and GM tandem are meeting with the 33rd team and Jets execs for a second round of interviews.
As the days and weeks of the Jets search pass, Glenn looks increasingly like the Gang Green’s next head coach. The former Jets pro bowl cornerback is a hot commodity after a couple of terrific seasons in Detroit.
Newmark is the lesser known of the duo. Having served in a variety of roles for the largely hapless Detroit Lions for 26 years, Newmark spent this past season as the assistant GM with the Washington Commanders.
This would give Gang Green a pairing that spent some time together in Detroit which would hopefully fast track establishing an aligned vision for the direction of the team.
Multiple outlets have reported on the second round of interviews for the pair which could bring an exhaustive search to an end sooner rather than later.
