The New York Jets have higher expectations for this season now that Aaron Rodgers is fully healthy again.
He has recovered from his torn Achilles and is hoping to have quite the season in the Big Apple.
However, some fans are a bit nervous about the season due to the way the offense struggled for most of last season after Rodgers went down in Week One.
Rodgers was asked about that during a recent interview with Adam Schein and told the fans that they should trust him and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
“You should trust me and I trust Nathaniel,” Rodgers said, (first transcribed by ProFootballTalk). “So, to me, that’s the end of the story. There’s been a lot of BS that’s been said out there. There are a lot of things that have gone on in the last couple of years that he’s dealt with that I think he’s handled very professionally.”
“And at the end of the day, I think you gotta trust his and my working relationship and the conversations that we have. You gotta trust the staff.”
Rodgers and Hackett have worked together before being with the Jets. They spent time together when Rodgers was the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers while Hackett was his offensive coordinator.
They’re hoping that they can create more magic when the 2024 season starts in September.
