As members of the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams formed one of the best passing combinations of the past decade. With both of them having issues on their new teams now, there’s been some speculation that they might want to reunite.
Adams recently revealed that Rodgers has been recruiting him to play for the Jets, but also made it clear that it’s going to take a lot for the Jets to pry him from the Las Vegas Raiders as he enjoys where he’s playing right now.
Rodgers, however, doesn’t seem intent on giving up.
Speaking to reporters at a celebrity golf tournament today, Rodgers was asked how he thinks Adams will play in the Raiders’ offense this season. He responded that he thinks Adams will be great and can’t wait to play with him again.
“I love Davante Adams, I can’t wait to play with him… again,” Rodgers said, seemingly putting a point on that last word.
Adams made five straight Pro Bowls between 2017 and 2021 with Rodgers as his quarterback while Rodgers won three of his four MVP awards while throwing to him.
But it’s going to take more than friendship to reunite the two in New York – or anywhere else for that matter.
Will Rodgers and Adams ever play together on an NFL field again?
