Enough is enough, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has greatly underperformed this season and we no longer should allow the renown of his Hall of Fame career to blind us from the current reality.
Rodgers was 22 for 35 for a measly 151 passing yards in Sunday’s 31-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals and he posted not one single touchdown. Rodgers’ stats have been pedestrian this season, yet Rodgers lovers refuse to just be honest and admit that this is the beginning of the end for him.
4th and goal.
Must score situation.
Moses gets beat off the snap.
Garrett does a great job seeing Rodgers escape the pocket and gets open.
Rodgers just has zero mobility at this point.
Gets out of the pocket but is sacked within seconds.

Sure, blame the defense for allowing the Cardinals 31 points, or better yet, blame Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Williams, who immediately became an asset to his new team in Week 10, for the Jets’ shortcomings. However, the truth is that Rodgers’ lack of consistency is the only glaring common denominator, not the defensive struggles. The Jets have been a “pass-first team” this season, only to rank No. 23 in the NFL in total first downs per game.

Instead of sobering into the reality of his mediocrity, Rodgers has been spending down time polishing his celebrity status by making appearances on sports shows. Early last week, Rodgers was quoted giving praise to Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, which turned out to be detrimental to Goff on Sunday night.
A week before that, Rodgers appeared on “The Pat Mcafee Show” jesting about how the season was going to turn around.
Now, what’s next? More aimless and deflective commentary after being blasted in Week 10? Rodgers is finished and it’s time for media outlets to call it like it is.
