The pairing gets mentioned over and over.
The Jets are casting a wide net in their searches for a new head coach and general manager. There is no sign a hiring is imminent. The team has made no decisions, which means anybody buzz of favorites is simply an educated guess.
Still, it seems worth noting that beat writer after beat writer is floating the possibility of one particular head coach/general manager duo.

.@RichCimini said he sees Ryan Grigson at GM & Brian Flores at HC as a combo the #Jets like, & thinks Aaron Glenn will be highly coveted by the Saints. Cimini added Grigson would be at the top of the #Jets list if they go with an experienced GM

Flores learned a lot from his time in Minnesota, as detailed in Michael Silver’s recent profile, and there is reason to believe he’ll be a better head coach his second time around. The Jets would also likely add Vikings executive Ryan Grigson as general manager if they hired Flores, and the two already have a positive working relationship.
Flores is a familiar name to Jets fans as he served as Dolphins head coach from 2019 through 2021. During that time he posted a 24-25 record, although in the context of how talent poor the roster was in one of those three years, you could make a compelling argument he overachieved.
Grigson served as Colts general manager from 2012 through 2016. While the team nominally had early success on his watch, many observers credit that to the play of Andrew Luck and question the supporting cast Grigson surrounded him with. Needless to say, Grigson might be the tougher sell in this package.
