ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky has a bold prediction regarding Davante Adams and the New York Jets.
Orlovsky thinks Adams will play for the Jets this season and that the two teams will figure out a trade.
“I think Davante Adams plays for the Jets this season,” Orlovsky said. “The reason why I say that is this: Have you watched Netflix, the receiver (show)? Have you seen the frustration with Davante Adams? It’s not that much better of a situation.
If a trade were to happen, Adams would be reunited with quarterback Aaron Rodgers after the two spent eight seasons together in Green Bay.
During that time, Adams compiled three 1,000-yard seasons, his best coming in 2021 when he finished with 123 receptions for 1,553 yards and 11 touchdowns.
He was traded to the Raiders after the 2021 season and has been with them for the past two seasons. Despite not making the playoffs during that time, Adams has still put up back-to-back seasons of 1,100+ receiving yards.
He’s been a top-five receiver in the NFL for the last several seasons and would instantly make the Jets a better team if they acquired him.
