Former Jets starting left guard Laken Tomlinson is heading back to the NFC West. Only this time, he will head to the Pacific Northwest instead of California as he is signing a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks.
Tomlinson spent two seasons with the Jets. He originally signed a three-year deal worth $40 million before the 2022 season but was released earlier this offseason following two up-and-down campaigns in New York. The Jets signed former Ravens guard John Simpson to replace him.
Before coming to New York, Tomlinson spent four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. He was the 28th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, spending two seasons before being traded in 2017.
The Jets will see their former left guard as the Jets are scheduled to host the Seahawks during the 2024 regular season.
