The Jets have some help on the way in the trenches as offensive tackle Morgan Moses and defensive tackle Leki Fotu are expected to return on Monday night. The announcement was made by interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich.
Without Moses at right tackle, the Jets have seen rookie Olu Fashanu offer up and down results. He’s had some good moments, but has also allowed nine pressures in two games. That rate is more than twice what Moses as produced as he has given up six in three games.
Adding Moses will be great news for new offensive coordinator Todd Downing who will need all the help he can get.
Meanwhile, Fotu is expected to add a boost to the team’s run defense as the 340 pound tackle is expected to make his Jets debut. Another fresh body in the middle who is a legitimate run stopper could make an already dominant Jets defense that much better.
