Is there a rift between Garrett Wilson and Aaron Rodgers?
According to Wilson, no there is not.
Reports and rumors regarding the New York Jets wide receiver have swirled in recent weeks. The latest ahead of the Jets (4-12) being blown out by the Buffalo Bills stated Wilson would request a trade this offseason if his quarterback returned to New York next season.
Wilson reports began in early December but no one will really know what is going to happen any time soon. The Jets haven’t even hired a new head coach or general manager. Those two people in New York will factor in massively in any decisions Wilson, Rodgers, or the Jets make.
But Wilson’s latest thoughts involved him suggesting there is no problem between the two.
Wilson told ESPN that he has seen reports of a rift with him and Rodgers, but he denied it.
“Yeah, I’ve seen some of that,” Wilson said. “I mean, there’s no truth to that.”
Wilson currently leads his team with 97 catches, 1,053 yards and seven touchdowns as the Jets head into their season finale against the Miami Dolphins (8-8) in Week 18. Despite numbers, it hasn’t always appeared the wideout and QB have always been on the same page, specifically since Davante Adams was acquired.
