The New York Jets quickly filled the void at the starting cornerback position, as they signed CB Brandon Stephens of the Baltimore Ravens to a 3-year deal. The contract is for $36M, which includes $23M in fully guaranteed money. Stephens will replace departed CB DJ Reed who signed with the Lions.
Stephens, 27, was a 3rd round draft pick by the Ravens in 2021. He started in every game for Baltimore last season, recording 70 tackles (59 solo), 1.5 sacks and breaking up 10 passes. In his 4-year career, Stephens has recorded 259 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 INTs and 32 pass defenses.
