Media were on hand for the Jets’ training camp practice today. Here’s what went down according to those on hand:
- Mike Williams and Tyron Smith did individual drills but didn’t take part in team;
- Olu Fashanu also sat out the start of the team period with Max Mitchell getting first team left tackle reps but then joined in later on;
- Tyler Conklin opened the team period with a one-handed catch down the field from Aaron Rodgers with Ashtyn Davis covering;
- Rodgers then hit Garrett Wilson for 15 over by the sideline as Wilson just got his feet inbounds;
- Tyrod Taylor connected down the field with Jason Brownlee;
- Rodgers threw an interception to CJ Mosley but the defense had jumped offside so he knew he had a free play;
- Quinnen Williams picked up a sack as Micheal Clemons and Jermaine Johnson brought pressure off the edges;
- Rodgers hit Wilson all alone in the end zone for a touchdown in red zone work;
- The Jets also scored on a Rodgers to Xavier Gipson pass and a Gipson run in that period;
- Tony Adams deflected a pass down the field and then intercepted Rodgers a few plays later, albeit on a play where Zack Kuntz seemed to run the wrong route and Rodgers again felt it was a free play;
- Taylor hit a wide open Lincoln Sefcik who made a lot of yards after the catch; and
- DJ Reed recovered nicely to break up a pass intended for Wilson.
