Good morning Gang Green Nation! The big news regarding the New York Jets this weekend involved reports that the Jets have decided to move on from Aaron Rodgers. If the reports are true, the new Jets regime is off to a promising start. This was the biggest decision looming over the Jets franchise, and the new regime apparently has not hesitated to make the right decision, rip off the bandaid, and start fresh at the all important quarterback position. Those hoping Rodgers had one more good season in him probably won’t be happy with this decision, but if the goal is to win Super Bowls, Rodgers was not going to get the Jets there. Realizing that, the Jets have decided to move on and save the cap space that would otherwise have been incurred once Rodgers’ $35 million option kicked in later this year. I for one am pleased the new regime got their first big decision right in turning this Jets team around. It’s a start.
