New York Jets owner Woody Johnson is well-aware of what’s being said about Aaron Rodgers this offseason.
On Thursday afternoon, Johnson shared a video of Rodgers tossing a no-look pass at practice. His social media post included a message for those doubting the four-time MVP.
“@Aaron Rodgers12 looked as good as ever this spring,” Johnson wrote on X.
It doesn’t take a genius to read between the lines here. This wasn’t just a random post from Johnson. He hears what people are saying about Rodgers missing mandatory minicamp.
Fans in New York might be OK with Rodgers’ unexcused absence, but the rest of the NFL world believes he showed a lack of leadership.

Rodgers has not yet addressed his absence from minicamp. Earlier this offseason, however, he admit that he needs to do well this fall or else he could find himself on the hot seat.
“I think if I don’t do what I know I’m capable of we’re all probably going to be out of here,” Rodgers said.
Rodgers had his entire 2023 campaign cut short due to a torn Achilles. If he can return to his old form, the Jets should be in good shape. There’s no guarantee that’ll happen though since he’s turning 41 later this year.
