No matter what position you play in the NFL, one trait is an absolute must: athleticism. If you aren’t even the least bit athletic, you’re not going to make it very far in the league. Some positions certainly require more athleticism than others but all require at least some degree.
Fortunately, Kent Lee Platte has a way of quantifying the relative athleticism of players in the league with his Relative Athletic Score that takes into account various athletic testing scores that you’ll see at the Scouting Combine.
Here, we’ll take a look at the average scores for all 32 teams from Platte heading into June and get a sense of where the Jets stand relative to the rest of the league.
