Aaron Glenn’s first interview with the New York Jets regarding the team’s vacant head coach position reportedly went well.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Glenn is one of the “hottest candidates” during the current hiring cycle.
Citing Glenn’s connections to New York as a former player/ first-round pick of the Jets in 1994, Pelissero said to “keep an eye” on Gang Green when discussing where Glenn could potentially end up being hired.
“My understanding is he had a very strong interview,” Pelissero said.
Glenn, 52, has spent 11 years as a coach in the NFL including his past four in Detroit as DC. He had his first interview in New York last week.
In 2024, the Lions defense allowed only 20.1 points per game, despite a slew of injuries, which was the seventh-best total in the NFL.
