To the surprise of nobody:
The #Jets have now officially released big-name WR Davante Adams. https://t.co/6DJHxQ0X6J

This was inevitable and the cap saving offsets most of the dead money they will be paying Aaron Rodgers to at least enable the Jets to have some flexibility while keeping what’s left of their core together. While Adams is obviously still a good player, Rodgers not being here reduces his potential value, so the Jets will overhaul the receiver group that will continue to be led by Garrett Wilson.

Jets have given permission to veteran wide receiver Allen Lazard to seek a trade, per sources. Jets also are open to bringing him back to the team. pic.twitter.com/5GXLYJO5HP

This is no surprise either. Unless he’s going to accept a sizeable pay cut, you can expect Lazard to be released too.
