Regardless of a coaching change, cornerback Sauce Gardner remains a cornerstone piece on defense for the New York Jets.
In a sign of leadership and even putting his money where his mouth is, Gardner revealed that he already made sure to meet his new head coach in Aaron Glenn.
Gardner, 24, said after the 2024 NFL season ended for his team that he wants to be “part of the solution.”
Gardner told FOX Sports that he went out of his way to have a face-to-face chat with Glenn, proving that.
That chat with Glenn and his new defensive coordinator, Steve Wilks, left him feeling positive about the future.
“I’m super excited,” Gardner said. “I think the rest of the guys are going to love it as well.”
