With high expectations and a healthy Aaron Rodgers in 2024, the New York Jets are poised to be on a lot of television screens this year.
This week the NFL announced that Gang Green will open the season on “Monday Night Football” against the San Francisco 49ers and face the Patriots on Thursday night two weeks later.
And according to the Brian Costello of the New York Post, the team will have six primetime standalone games in total.
“The NFL still considers the Jets ‘Primetime Players,'” Coz wrote. “The Jets schedule includes the maximum six primetime games, according to sources. In addition, the Jets will play in a seventh national window when they face the Vikings in London.”
All of NY’s primetime matchups occur within the first 11 weeks but it’s possible the team could be flexed into more later in the season. Here’s all the games we know of right now though:
- Week 1 at 49ers, Monday Night Football (ESPN)
- Week 3 vs. Patriots, Thursday Night Football (PRIME VIDEO)
- Week 5 vs. Vikings, (London) [NFL Network]
- Week 6 vs. Bills, Monday Night Football (ESPN)
- Week 7 at Steelers, Sunday Night Football (NBC)
- Week 9 vs. Texans, Thursday Night Football (PRIME VIDEO)
- Week 11 vs. Colts, Sunday Night Football (NBC)
Last year, the Jets played in five primetime games and another national standalone game vs. the Dolphins on Black Friday.
