Week 12 of Thursday Night Football features an AFC North showdown
Thursday Night Football, Week 11. Tonight the Cleveland Browns host the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are 3.5 point road favorites in this game according to our friends at Fanduel Sportsbook.
The 8-2 Pittsburgh Steelers come into this game winners of five straight games. Last week they beat the Baltimore Ravens to take sole possession of first place in the NFC North division.
The Steelers win games the way they always have, running the ball on offense and playing great defense. The Steelers rank 8th in the NFL in yards allowed, 2nd in points allowed, 8th in rushing yards gained, 3rd in offensive turnovers and 4th in defensive turnovers. Playing great defense, limiting turnovers on offense and generating turnovers on defense is a great way to win a lot of football games. The Steelers are undefeated at 4-0 since Russell Wilson took over from Justin Fields at quarterback.
The 2-8 Cleveland Browns come into this game losers of seven of their last eight games. Last week the Browns hit rock bottom, getting blown out by the lowly New Orleans Saints, 35 – 14. The Browns don’t do much of anything particularly well. They rank in the bottom half of the league in points scored, points allowed, yards gained, yards allowed, offensive turnovers, defensive turnovers, passing yards gained, rushing yards gained and rushing yards allowed. This is a bad, broken Browns team that is playing out the string of a lost season.
Tonight the Browns have home field advantage. The Steelers have pretty much every other advantage imaginable. I’m picking the Steelers on the road to beat the Browns. If you bet, good luck to you, and please consider using our friends at Fanduel Sportsbook.
