The 45th President of the United States isn’t the only high-profile attendee at UFC 302 in Newark, New Jersey this evening. New York Jets quarterback (and alleged former vice presidential running mate candidate) Aaron Rodgers was there as well – and the two crossed paths rather quickly.
Video of the event shows former President Donald Trump walking around the ringside at the Prudential Center, shaking hands of various fans who sat up to greet him. But as he passed Rodgers, the former Super Bowl MVP kept his eyes on the ring.

Trump didn’t seem to notice Rodgers either as he kept shaking hands. Though as you might imagine, plenty of other people noticed the lack of greeting between them.
“He an RFK Jr man.,” one user noted, referencing how close he came to being Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate.
“Lol. I wonder what changed his mind on trump,” wrote another.
“His Jets contract probably has a clause prohibiting fraternizing with convicted felons,” a third joked.
Rodgers was the subject of a lot of discussion earlier this offseason when it was reported that RFK Jr. was considering him for his running mate as an independent candidate in the 2024 Presidential election. But despite being a big supporter of RFK Jr., Rodgers turned down the offer and RFK Jr. picked Nicole Shanahan as his running mate.
