It’s been over a decade since the New York Jets made the playoffs and over 50 years since they last appeared in a Super Bowl. So as you might imagine, more than a few fans are pretty desperate for quarterback Aaron Rodgers to lead them out of the doldrums.
At the recent American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament, Rodgers was approached by an emotional Jets fan who begged him to get them a Super Bowl. Rodgers could be seen consoling the fan by putting his arm over the man’s shoulder.
“I just want a Super Bowl Aaron, please!” the fan said.

But while a number of people at the event found it sweet that they had that moment, fans on social media found the scene absolutely embarrassing.
“Who would act like this in public? Grow some (expletive) balls, man,” one user replied to NBC Sports.
“I’m assuming this man has some type of mental health issues which is acceptable. But if not holy (expletive) dude,” wrote another.
“Jets fans are down worse than we thought,” a third wrote.
Life as a Jets fan has been rough ever since Joe Namath led them to their lone Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl III. They’ve had worst quarterback problems than any team in the NFL, have hired and fired a litany of terrible coaches and have more embarrassing on-field moments than probably any team in all of sports.
Whether that fan is all there or not, years and years of watching the Jets on and off the field would drive anyone mad.
