The New Jersey Devils will host the Boston Bruins for the first time this season. More importantly, it’s the night to honor Jacques Lemaire – one of the best Devils coaches ever. Show up for Jacques.
Believe it or not, but this is the first match up between the B’s and the bedeviled NJ’s this season. More importantly than that, it is Jacques Lemaire’s night. He will be correctly installed in the New Jersey Devils Ring of Honor tonight. Win this for Jacques!
The Time: 7:00 PM ET
The Broadcast: TV: MSGSN, NESN, NHL Network; Audio: Devils Hockey Radio
The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils vs. the Boston Bruins
The Tribute Video of the Evening: Jacques Lemaire will forever be associated with the mid-1990s Devils with the institution of the Neutral Zone Trap (1-2-2) and the Devils’ first Stanley Cup in 1995. He was also a mainstay of Montreal’s best teams in the 1970s where he won eight Stanley Cups as a player. Have a NHL video honoring him with plenty of clips of him as a player.
Now I understand why the opponent is Boston: Montreal’s eternal American rival.
The Rules: The rules remain as they are as it is Jacques Lemaire’s Night. Please keep your language clean (this means no swearing, don’t mask it, it’s not enough, no I don’t care what Tom Fitzgerald said), respect your fellow Devils fan with no personal attacks (play nice or you will not play here), no illegal streams (this means no asking, no hints, no nothing about it), and please keep your comments relevant to this game. Go Devils!
