For the first time, the New Jersey Devils are going up to Canada. They will visit their nation’s capital – well, a suburb of it – and take an opponent looking for something better in this season.

The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils at Ottawa Senators
The Song of the Evening: Ginger Root’s third single from Shinbangumi is titled “There Was a Time.” Once, the Senators were a good team. A really, really good team. A team that stood in the Devils’ path in 2003. Then John Madden backhanded the puck out of the zone to Grant Marshall. Marshall drove in, drew two Senators, and, somehow, threaded a pass to Jeff Friesen in the middle. Friesen took a touch, put the puck on his forehand, and beat Patrick Lalime. That was the highpoint of the Senators.
The Rules: The rules remain as they are as the Devils are in Kanata, Ontario. Please keep your language clean (this means no swearing, don’t mask it, it’s not enough, no I don’t care what Tom Fitzgerald said), respect your fellow Devils fan with no personal attacks (play nice or you will not play here), no illegal streams (this means no asking, no hints, no nothing about it), and please keep your comments relevant to this game. Go Devils!
