We’re just going to keep doing this, aren’t we.
The Islanders went to Raleigh and lost 4-0 to the Hurricanes.
Continuing a theme, they “did some good things” despite the result, so good for them. I love that for them and the journey they’re on. But confirming the very narrow limits of their potential on a nightly basis does little for the rest of us.

Here is where the Islanders’ current spectrum of expectations lies: “With the loss, the Islanders miss[ed] a chance to move from seventh to sixth in the Metropolitan Division standings.”

At least they’re a clean-shaven team.
But #Isles Patrick Roy also notes the 32 shots taken in 4-0 loss to ‘Canes: “We outshot them. That’s something that’s pretty tough to do in that building. So we must have done something good at some point.”

#Isles Casey Cizikas on 4-0 loss to ‘Canes: “It’s frustrating because, overall, I didn’t think it was a bad game. They capitalized on their opportunities and we didn’t.”
