The third meeting is upon us.
In one of those schedule quirks, the Islanders face the Red Wings twice within the week — and the third time in this young season — having finished their five-game road trip in Detroit with a deflating late regulation loss.
In between, the Isles got back on their feet with a home regulation win over the Blues, while the Red Wings lost 2-1 at home to the Bruins. Thus far the Isles have lost 1-0 and 2-1 to this team. Tonight they have a chance to avenge that disappointment, maybe even score two goals…who here believes they’ll take it?
First Islanders Goal picks go here.
