The Isles road trip continues in a daunting destination that their head coach knows all to well.
The Islanders early western road trip resumes tonight in Denver, where the Colorado Avalanche are 0-2 on the young season. They’ve recently claimed goalie Kaapo Kahkonen off waivers, and of course they’re without Gabriel Landeskog and Jonathan Drouin due to injuries at opposite ends of the recovery spectrum, and Valeri Nichushkin due to a history of poor decisions.
