Game four of the homestand beckons.
The Islanders’ cursed homestand continues Monday with the Columbus Blue Jackets, who are having a surprisingly nice season with some young guns joining Zack Werenski and Sean Monahan in stepping up in the aftermath of the Gaudreau brothers tragedy. Their recent six-game win streak came to an end inexplicably against the Smurfs, who prevailed in a shootout.
The Islanders will continue without Max Tsyplakov, serving the second game of a three-game suspension for a hit that was not penalized even after video review. #NHLogic
