The Isles add another college free agent to the pipeline.
The New York Islanders have signed another college free agent, inking Michigan State forward Joey Larson to a one-year entry level contract for the 2025-26 season.
Larson, 24, just completed his junior season with 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists) in 37 games. The right-handed shooter is a Michigan native listed at 6’1, 196 lbs. As a late bloomer he took the U.S. junior route to the NCAA with stops in NAHL New Mexico and USHL Muskegon (a point per game player in both) before heading to Northern Michigan, then transferring to Michigan State.
For a bit of trivia, he’s a nephew to former NHLer and NCAAer Jim Storm, who had NHl stops with Hartford and Dallas in the mid ‘90s.
