We open up NHL predictions with a matinee matchup between the Vancouver Canucks and the New York Rangers. Vancouver is expected to start Kevin Lankinen in the crease. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Canucks are 5-4-1 in the last 10, but lost last time out. Quinn Hughes has recorded 16 goals and 50 assists for Vancouver.
Igor Shesterkin is the projected starter for the Rangers, who need to start picking up points. New York is 3-5-2 in the last 10 games and have dropped the last three games. Artemi Panarin has been averaging over a point a game as of late with seven goals and seven assists over the last 10 games.
Both teams need a victory to keep pace in their respective races. However, Vancouver gets the two points.
Prediction: Canucks win 3-2.
Florida Panthers vs Washington Capitals
Head-to-Head: Panthers 0-2 Capitals
Time: 5 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)
TV: Monumental Sports Network; Scripps Florida; ESPN+
We have a big matchup between old Southeastern Division rivals in this round of NHL predictions. The Florida Panthers are likely to start Sergei Bobrovsky in goal for this game. Florida is 7-3 in the last 10 games entering this big Eastern Conference matchup. Aleksander Barkov has racked up 19 goals and 44 assists for the Panthers.
Logan Thompson is the expected starter for the Washington Capitals, who are 8-2 in the last 10 games. This includes three consecutive victories for the Metropolitan Division leaders. Tom Wilson has played well as of late four goals and eight assists over the past 10 games.
This could be a preview of the Eastern Conference Final, but Washington completes the season-sweep.
Prediction: Capitals win 4-2.
Colorado Avalanche vs Montreal Canadiens
Head-to-Head: Avalanche 0-1 Canadiens
Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)
TV: CityTV; SN East; Altitude; TVAS; ESPN+
Our last game of NHL predictions is our featured matchup between the Avalanche and Canadiens. Mackenzie Blackwood is the probable starter for Colorado, which is 8-1-1 in the last 10 games. The Avs are trying to build momentum for a likely first-round showdown with the Dallas Stars. Nathan MacKinnon has been his usual self with 28 goals and 77 assists for Colorado.
Montreal is likely to go with Sam Montembeault in the blue paint for this one. The Canadiens 6-1-3 in the last 10 games, but coming off an overtime-loss to the New York Islanders. Captain Nick Suzuki has generated 21 goals and 50 assists for the Habs, who sit in the second wild card spot in the East.
Colorado got right in its last game, but faces a surging Montreal squad.
Prediction: Canadiens win 3-2.

We round our NHL predictions with some prop bets. Let’s stick to our featured game for tonight’s props. On the Colorado side, take Cale Makar to get at least a power-play point. For Montreal, go with Cole Caufield to net a goal.
